Transportation in Kaifeng
Getting There By Train Kaifeng is on the railway line between Xi'an and Shanghai and trains are frequent. Tickets can be hard to obtain, so consider leaving from Zhengzhou instead. Express trains to Zhengzhou take about one hour. By Long Distance Bus To Zhengzhou slowpoke buses and expresses leave from both the western long-distance bus station and the southern long-distance bus station (opposite the train station0- more from the former, but the latter has more expresses. To Luoyang, express buses leave every twenty minutes; it's hard to get regular bus now. From the southern long-distance bus station there are half-hourly buses to An'yang from 7 am until 5 pm. These buses do not use the expressway, and at times it takes over four hours. Getting Around Buses departing from both of Kaifeng's bus stations travel to all the major tourist areas. Rickshaws and taxis are also available and can be found congregating around the bus and train stations.
