The Bund has been regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. Bund usually represents the 24 architectures along from No.1 to No.33, west of No.1 East Zhong Shan Road. Most are bank buildings about 10 in number. Bund assembles the architectural buildings of finance and trade.The most famous and attractive sight which is at the west side of the Bund are the 52 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance known as "a Gallery of world architecture." These buildings were built respectively during the '20s and '40s of the 20th century with different architectural styles but were well harmonized. The buildings are all decorated with floodlights. At night, the Bund is brightly lit, glittering and dazzling to the eye. It is the symbol and mark of Shanghai.
