The Red Crag Village is the site of the Chongqing Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Eighth Route Army during the Anti-Japanese War and the early period of the War of Liberation. The construction work of the memorial museum started in 1955, and in 1959, Mr. Dong Bi-wu inscribed the name of the museum" The Red Crag Revolutionary Memorial Museum", In 1961, it was for the first time in the country announced as one of the national key relics preservation unit. Zhou En-lai, Dong Bi-wu, Ye Jian-ying, Wang Ruo-fei, Qin Bang-xian, Deng Ying-chao etc. lived and fought for a long time.
