Up the mountain, Qilin Cave is a limestone cave big enough to house 100 people, which is also one of the key cultural relic preservations in Guizhou Province. During the the War of Resistance against Japan, the patriotic generals Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng were capured and imprisoned here at the cave. The general Zhang Xueliang, was imprisoned by Chiang Kai-shek during 1941-42, General Yang Hucheng, who initiated the Xi'an Incident together with General Zhang, was also detained here for a while before he and his family was killed by Chiang in 1949. An exhibition room displays articles used by the two generals.
