Shenjin Pagoda
The Shengjin Tower is located on Shengjinta Road. It is said that an iron box was dug up while the Pagoda was being built. In the box there were four bundles of gold ropes, three ancient swords and 300 Buddhist Relics. So it was called the Shengjin Pagoda. The Shengjin Pagoda was erected during 904 and 907 in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in 1713 in the Qing Dynasty. It is 58.7 meters high, and its foundation is 33.8 meters in circumference. It has seven floors and eight sides. There are carved eaves and verandas on each floor and doors facing each direction. Wooden stairs lead from the ground floor to the sixth floor. On the top of the Pagoda is a gold-plated tripod. It is the tallest among the ancient structures in Nanchang. Standing on top of the pagoda, one can get a panoramic view of the city.
