Yusufu Has Hajip Tomb

 
The tomb of Yusufu Has Hajip located on the campus of Number 12 Primary School. Yusuf Has Hajip, a Uygur poet and scholar, was born in Husiwurduo( Balashagun) In Karakhanid Dynasty, later immigrated to Kashgar. He wrote the long narrative philosophic poem Kuiadku Bilig (The Knowledge of Happiness). After he died, he was buried Badige, outside the city of Kashgar. His tomb was moved to its present site when it was threatened by the flooding of the Toman River.
