Simplified tourist visa procedure for South Korea
Updated: Thu, 14 May 2009 10:18:59 GMT+8

An official of the Consulate General of South Korea in Shanghai said that the South Korea tourist visa application procedure has been simplified for people in Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Anhui.

To simplify the procedure, a business license and employment certificate from the applicant's work place are no longer needed for personal tourist visa application.

People who have visited South Korea at least three times or who have visited the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, or European countries at least once can enjoy the simplified procedure. The only documents needed for the application will be a passport, ID card, and photos.

Tourists from Nanjing who enjoy free tours in South Korea will receive a bus IC card with KRW3,000 of pre-deposit and a bilingual brochure for travelling in South Korea from the Korea National Tourism Organization.
